Buying guide

Choosing a cricket helmet

Look for BS 7928 certification as standard — this is the UK safety benchmark and applies to both
adult and junior helmets. Beyond that, fit matters more than any spec sheet: a helmet should sit
level on the head with the peak just above eye level, and the grille shouldn’t touch your nose or
chin when you look down.

Masuri and Shrey both offer stainless steel and titanium shell options — titanium is lighter for the
same protection level, at a higher price point. Junior helmets follow a separate, smaller size range —
always measure head circumference rather than guessing by age.
